Sometimes, musicians face the exciting challenge of having multiple concerts at the same time. This is exactly what’s happening for me this week. Next Saturday, I’ll be performing with the band U’Elements and the amazing opera soloist Jonas Sakalauskas in Jonava, Lithuania. This concert is part of the grand celebration for the Day of the Coronation of King Mindaugas of Lithuania. We’ll be playing a wonderful mix of music, including operettas, popular songs, and some of our own compositions. Because of this special event, our regular live music session, which has become a lovely tradition, will take a short break this Saturday. I can’t wait to see you next time!
U’Elements is a band that blends various musical genres to create a unique and captivating sound. You can learn more about us here. Working with Jonas Sakalauskas, a renowned opera soloist, has been an incredible experience. His powerful voice and expressive performances add a special touch to our music.
100th Anniversary of the Lithuanian Song Celebration
I also want to share another exciting event: the centenary celebration of Lithuanian songs. The celebrations and concerts are already happening, starting from June 29th and lasting the whole week until July 6th. You can learn more about this wonderful occasion by clicking here.
I’m thrilled to announce that the band and I will be performing this Thursday as part of the festival’s many concerts. We’ll be accompanying vocal ensembles, which is a new and exciting experience for us. Our repertoire will include some of my arrangements and improvisations. The concert will be broadcast live on Lithuanian National Television, starting at 6 p.m. Lithuanian time (UTC+3 or EEST).
By the way, I almost forgot to mention that not only the four of us will perform, but we will also be joined by the great violinist Tadas Dešukas and the famous trumpeter Valerijus Ramoška. Their exceptional talents will undoubtedly elevate our performance to new heights.
Preparing for these events has been a whirlwind of rehearsals and creative energy. We’ve been working tirelessly to perfect our performances, and the excitement is palpable. Here’s a picture from one of our recent rehearsals:

I also wanted to share a special moment from one of our previous concerts. This video features one of my compositions based on a traditional Lithuanian folk song:
I warmly invite all my readers and listeners to join the live stream of the concert. It’s a fantastic opportunity to experience this unique event and enjoy our music from the comfort of your home. Don’t miss it!
