Greetings!
I’m Dmitrijs Mihailovs, a passionate music creator born in Daugavpils, Latvia. My musical journey began with the mesmerizing melodies of the accordion and the enchanting keys of the piano. It was in the quaint streets of Daugavpils where I took my first steps in music, experimenting with sounds and rhythms, and laying the foundation for my musical odyssey.
Seeking to further hone my craft, I embarked on a journey to Vilnius, Lithuania, where I enrolled at the prestigious Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. Under the guidance of talented mentors, I delved deeper into the realms of composition and arrangement, refining my skills and nurturing my artistic vision.
In 2005, fueled by a shared passion for music, my dear friend Povilas and I established the instrumental music band ‘Subtilu-Z‘. Together, we embarked on a creative voyage, exploring new sounds, and pushing the boundaries of musical expression.
In 2020, embracing the spirit of innovation and collaboration, we launched a new musical endeavor – ‘U’Elements‘, a testament to our evolving musical journey.
And now, in 2024, I’m thrilled to embark on yet another musical venture – ‘FeelYourself‘. This project will feature live online sessions where I will improvise on the piano, channeling the emotions and sensations of the present moment. Through ‘FeelYourself‘, I aim to connect with listeners on a deeper level, inviting them to experience the raw essence of music in its purest form. In these sessions, I will endeavor to feel the persons who will be online with me, drawing inspiration from their presence to create music that resonates with them, for them, and about them.
